Aluminum ornamental fencing does not rust — it is naturally corrosion-resistant and never needs painting. Steel ornamental fencing is galvanized and powder-coated for rust protection, though it may need touch-up paint in 15-20 years at scratch or chip points.
Is ornamental fencing strong enough for security?
Yes. Steel ornamental fencing provides excellent security with its rigid construction and pointed finials. Aluminum is lighter but still provides a strong deterrent. Both options can be installed at 5-6 foot heights for enhanced security.
Can ornamental fencing be used around pools?
